Bank Holiday Britain exhibitions

The first Bank Holiday Britain exhibition, Bank Holiday Britain: Leith Life, took place from 6-14 June 2009. It was staged at the Leith Art Expo at the Arts Complex, St Margaret’s House, Edinburgh, one of the events that formed part of the annual Leith Festival. The exhibition consisted of 24 photographs taken in Leith, many of which can be also be viewed on this website. Type ‘Leith’ into the search box on the lower right-hand side of this page to see all of BHB’s Leith photos, including images which were used in the exhibition.
The second exhibition, Bank Holiday Britain: Please Give Generously, ran from 1 October to 30 November 2009. It featured 24 photographs that celebrated the spirit of charities and charity shops in recession-hit Britain. The photographs in this exhibition were taken specifically for the event, which was held at Victoria bar on Leith Walk, Edinburgh.
Other exhibitions will take place, when the time feels right, in Edinburgh and further afield. Information about these events will be posted on this website once details have been confirmed. A gallery section is also planned, where all the photographs from past exhibitions can be viewed. Not just yet though.
